Code of Law for People (Zakon sudnyj ljudem) This oldest slavonian law record is based on byzantian code of law named Ekloga. However many of the paragraphs are diferent and were inspired by real life of ancient Slovaks. (several manuscripts from 13th and 14th century are preserve, most known is manuscript from Novgorod - 1280) |

of Rulers (Glagolita
Clozianus)
Lecture of archbishop Methodius (from years 874 - 884) which has expressed very critical meaning about morality in king's Svatopluk court. He tried to eliminate various limitations and stabilize moral by following christian doctrine. Literary form of the lecture was made by Methodius and his students. (lecture was preserved on manuscript from 11th century (from 50 - 14 pages only), in town Trident's museum) |
