for send to Slovakia bishop, priests and teachers for translate the bible and other christian's texts to slovak
language and to teach new slovak priests. The leaders of this mission was CONSTANTINE and METHODIUS. Constantine founded the first slovakian alphabet and started the translations. |
| 863 | Constantine and Methodius
arrived to the Slovak kingdom, founded the first university in
the style of university in Constantinopol. They translated some parts from bible and some other holy texts and major texts from roman's civil law. |
| 866 | They taught young Slovaks in KOCEL's Panonia domain. |
| 867 | The pope NIKHOLAuS I.st
invited Constantine and Methodius to the Rome. They take their Slovak's students (to be the Slovaks priests) with them. The new pope HADRIAN II.nd permitted of using the Slovak language in the church. (only latin, grece and hebrew language was permitted to use in church in those times) They became the bishops, Slovak students became the priests and they together celebrate in slovak language in the Rome's churches. |

| 869 | February 14.th Constantine-Cyrilius died. Pope buried him in St.Kliment church in
Rome.
Methodius became the arcibishop for all Slavonian countries. |
| 870 | The bavarian bishops inprisoned Methodius in Reichenau monastery near Bodensee lake. |
| 872 | The slovak king SVATOPLUK asked the pope for return of Methodius. |
| 873 | The pope JOHN VIII.th asked
Louis the German for liberation of Methodius. Methodius return from captivity to the Nitra. |
| 879 | The pope asked Methodius to came in to the Rome and explain the problem betwen Methodius and bavarian priests about using the slovak language in the church. |
| 880 | Arcibishop Methodius came
to Rome. The pope send the "Industriae tuae" to the Svatopluk and permited again using of the slovak language in the church. Method baptized BORIVOJ (prince of slavonian-czech tribe Behemans) who build first christian church in Bohemia territory. |
| 881 | Methodius informed the pope
about problems with bavarian bishop WICHING. Byzantian cesar BASILEIOS I.st invited Methodius to the Constantinopol. |
| 881 | till 882 Methodius visited Constantinopol. |
| 883 | Methodius finished the translation of the holy bible. |
| 885 | Methodius named his
successor GORAZD (first bishop of
Slovakian origin). April 6.th Methodius died. |
